Cambodia.- According to figures released by the Cambodian Commercial Gaming Commission (CGMC), licensed commercial gambling operators contributed KHR290.7bn (US$72m) in mandatory revenue 2025, up by 14 per cent compared to 2024 amid heightened enforcement against illicit activities.
As of the end of 2025, Cambodia had 195 licensed casinos, with 160 located in Preah Sihanouk province. Authorities said oversight efforts have been stepped up, with administrative actions against non-compliant operators ranging from warnings and financial penalties to temporary suspensions and potential licence revocations.
Throughout 2025, security forces conducted a series of coordinated raids targeting cybercrime, online fraud, and illegal gambling networks allegedly operating in or around casino properties, particularly in Sihanoukville and Svay Rieng. Several venues had their licences suspended or revoked following investigations that uncovered suspected criminal activity.
