Konami and Agilysys drove modest growth for the index of gaming manufacturers’ shares.
Asia.- The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) Index rose slightly in October, gaining 11.42 points to reach 1,936.63, a 0.6 per cent increase from September. Year-on-year, the index was up 27.6 per cent, or 418.43 points.

Out of the ten companies that make up the index, only two saw stock price increases, resulting in two positive and eight negative contributions. The biggest positive impact came from Konami Group Corp, whose 20.6 per cent rise in share price added 106.09 points to the index. The company’s stock was boosted by first-half results showing revenue up 22.1 per cent year-on-year.
Agilysys Inc. also contributed positively, with its 19.2 per cent increase in share price adding 19.97 points. Aristocrat Leisure Ltd. was the largest negative contributor, as its 9.6 per cent decline in share price led to a 79.52-point loss for the index.

All three major US stock indices rose for the third consecutive month in October. The NASDAQ gained 4.7 per cent, the S&P 500 2.3 per cent and the Dow Jones Industrial Average 2.5 per cent.
