Hong Kong.- Century Entertainment International has announced a positive profit alert for the six months ending September 2025. It now expects a profit of at least HK$25m (US$3.21m) compared to a HK$11.4m (US$1.47m) loss in the same period last year.
The company attributed the turnaround to the performance of new subsidiaries in gaming and camellia oil, a one-off income from settling receivables with a former shareholder and gains from terminating a lease agreement in Cambodia.
Century Entertainment said in a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing that the Board expects the new business units to “evolve into significant and sustainable sources of profit and growth to the Group.”
Last week, the group identified Vietnam as a target for expansion, signing a non-binding letter of intent with a local operator. In July, the company entered a partnership with World Platinum Technologies Inc (WPT) to develop its gaming platform and content creation operations in the Philippines. In a filing on November 10, it reported that the joint venture generated unaudited revenue of HKD800,000 (US$102,913) in July, HKD1,000,000 (US$128,660) in August, and HKD3,268,000 (US$420,471) in September.
