Indonesia.- The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) says Cloudflare has agreed to support its enforcement actions against illegal online gambling, following warnings that the company’s services are used to mask platforms targeting Indonesian users. It says it held an online meeting with the company centring on the PSE registration process and cooperation on content moderation.
According to Komdigi, Cloudflare showed a “cooperative attitude” and committed to reviewing its registration requirements and establishing a dedicated reporting channel for the ministry.
Komdigi recently said that a review of 10,000 sites showed more than 76 per cent of illegal gambling domains were using Cloudflare infrastructure to hide IP addresses and evade blocking measures. It said it acknowledged that Cloudflare does not curate or control customer content but stressed that it expects administrative compliance.
