The Vietnamese integrated resort has unveiled Corona Premium Mass targeting self-funded high-stakes players.
Vietnam.- Corona Resort & Casino has opened a new premium mass gaming area at its Phu Quoc integrated resort amid a broader regional shift toward more stable, higher-quality gaming segments. Branded Corona Premium Mass, the new zone is designed to cater to high-stakes players who sit between the mass market and traditional VIPs, wagering their own funds rather than relying on junket-arranged credit.
The premium area forms part of Corona’s existing casino floor, which spans approximately 18,800 square metres. It has private gaming tables, higher betting limits, priority access and an emphasis on privacy and personalised service. According to the operator, the space is aimed at delivering a quieter, more exclusive environment while reducing waiting times for players.
Baccarat is the cornerstone of the new offering, with Tiger Baccarat, Dragon–Tiger Baccarat and No Commission Baccarat available at betting limits ranging from VND10m (US$385) up to VND1bn (US$38,500) per hand. Other table games include Russian poker, with stakes between VND5m (US$192) and VND100m (US$3,850), blackjack with limits from VND2m (US$77) to VND40m (US$1,540), and roulette ranging from VND1m (US$38) to VND2m.
Operational services are provided by Upffinity Gaming Management. The launch coincides with improving air connectivity to Phu Quoc, with new direct flights planned from Macau and Taipei.
The property was recently granted permanent approval to allow Vietnamese nationals to gamble, following the conclusion of its local gaming trial period, further expanding its potential customer base.
Industry analysts note that premium mass players have become increasingly attractive for Asian casino operators, offering more predictable revenues, lower regulatory exposure and stronger non-gaming spend on accommodation, dining and entertainment compared with traditional VIP segments.
