Crown Sydney CEO steps down 

Stanford Le has decided to step down from his role at Crown Sydney and return to the United States.

Australia.- Stanford Le has stepped down from his role as CEO of Crown Sydney. He’s announced a decision to return to the United States to care for family members after approximately 18 months leading the Australian integrated resort.

In a LinkedIn post confirming his departure, Le wrote: “As I step down from my role in Australia to return to the US to care for family, I can’t help but feel immensely proud and thankful for my team at Crown Sydney.

“We accomplished so much over the past 18 months — bringing an iconic property to profitability for the first time in its five-year history, stretching the limits of culinary awards, setting significant new milestones in gaming and hotel, and redefining what is possible for this beautiful Sydney landmark.”

Le was appointed CEO in late 2024 to oversee business strategy and operations for the 75-floor luxury resort, which features 349 rooms, suites and villas, 11 dining and beverage venues, three gaming floors and more than 2,000 square metres of meetings and conference space.

During his tenure, Crown Sydney achieved its first fiscal year of profitability since opening, with revenue increasing by more than 22 per cent and guest satisfaction metrics, including Net Promoter Score, improving year-over-year. The property also strengthened its market position, increasing its New South Wales table games market share by a double-digit percentage in the first three quarters under his leadership.

Le also oversaw the final stages of the resort’s regulatory remediation process following its relicensing, including enhancements to anti-money laundering controls, harm minimisation initiatives, and operational governance to align with New South Wales regulatory requirements. Crown Sydney was also named Best Hotel in Australia at the 2025 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence.

Le indicated that his departure was driven by personal reasons. “I owe so much gratitude to my wonderful colleagues. I will never forget the unique phrases, heartfelt laughter, love of sport, and the passion you showed day in and day out,” he wrote.

Crown Resorts has not yet announced a successor for the Crown Sydney CEO role.
