New Zealand.- Entain’s Australia & New Zealand division is gearing up for a major push into New Zealand’s online gaming sector. CEO Andrew Vouris said the company plans to secure several licences ahead of the market opening in December 2026 in order to operate across gambling verticals.
Vouris told the Australian Financial Review: “We’re going to be the only operator in the market that’s able to offer sports, racing and potentially casino. That is massive.”
New Zealand will introduce a capped licensing model with up to 15 online casino licences. The bidding process is expected to open soon.
Entain’s 25-year agreement with TAB New Zealand means it already has a foothold in the market. With around 15 established online brands, including BetMGM and PartyCasino, it believes it can scale quickly.
