On 12 February, the newly elected IESF Board met in person for the first time since the elections.
It was not a symbolic gathering. It was a working session.
All twelve Board Members came together with a clear understanding of the responsibility they carry. Esports continues to evolve at pace, and with that evolution comes the need for steady governance, disciplined oversight, and strategic alignment.
Meeting face to face changed the rhythm of the discussions. Conversations were deeper, more direct, and grounded in shared accountability. The focus was not on visibility, but on structure — reviewing governance frameworks, reinforcing financial integrity, aligning international priorities, and strengthening cooperation with national federations.
There was clarity in the room: growth alone is not enough. For esports to secure its rightful place within the global sports ecosystem, it must be supported by credible institutions and consistent standards.
Every discussion returned to that principle.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, operational stability, and long-term institutional development. The objective is not short-term recognition, but lasting legitimacy built on governance that can withstand scrutiny.
Leadership is measured in decisions taken, responsibilities upheld, and foundations protected.
This first in-person meeting reinforced a shared direction and a collective understanding of what lies ahead. The work continues, steady, disciplined, and focused on strengthening the structure that supports the World of Esports.
