Macau.- Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) launched a series of community and employee-focused initiatives in Macau to mark the Chinese New Year. The programme includes outreach to elderly residents, youth cultural activities and internal responsible gaming campaigns across the company’s properties.
It’s the 10th year of the GEG Community Caring Program, organised by the Peng On Tung Tele-assistance Service of the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM). As part of the initiative, nearly 120 students took part in a Technology Care Innovation Design Competition, which promotes assistive technology solutions. Following the award ceremony, representatives from GEG, UGAMM and participating students distributed festive gifts to seniors, including elderly individuals living alone.
The group also organised a cultural visit for members of its Youth Achievement Program (YAP), who attended the Golden Fortunes: The Macau Debut of Zhu Bingren’s Copper Art exhibition and participated in a Chinese New Year-themed copper rubbing workshop focused on intangible cultural heritage.
On the responsible gaming front, GEG partnered with the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao (AJVM) to host a Chinese New Year roadshow across back-of-house areas at its properties. The initiative combined interactive activities with information sessions led by responsible gaming ambassadors, attracting close to 4,000 team members.
Additional internal activities organised by GEG’s Human Resources and Administration Department included festive workshops, themed games and seasonal food offerings for staff.
Beyond its corporate and community initiatives, GEG is also supporting citywide celebrations organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office. As an official partner of the Year of the Horse parade, the company is presenting aGolden Horse-themed float.
