Casino sales reached KRW35.08bn in the eighth month of the year.
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) has shared its financial results for the month of August. The company posted casino sales of KRW35.08bn (US$25.2m), down 10 per cent in year-on-year terms and 10 per cent behind July.
Table-game revenue was KRW31.18bn (US$22.4m), 18.2 per cent behind August 2024’s figures and also down 11.8 per cent compared to July 2025. Machine game sales were KRW3.90bn (US$2.79m), up 22.8 per cent year-on-year, but 7 per cent down compared to the previous month.
For the January-August period, aggregate casino sales were up 12 per cent in year-on-year terms to KRW283.93bn (US$203.3m). The casino drop was KRW2.40tn, down 3.7 per cent when compared to last year.

GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul, including one in Gangnam, and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. The company operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
In November, the casino operator named Yoon Doo Hyun as president. He served in South Korea’s National Assembly during its 21st term from May 2020 to May 2024 and held the role of senior secretary for public relations at the Office of the President between 2014 and 2015.
