South Korea.- The foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd (GKL) has announced a plan to generate annual casino revenue of KRW503.8bn (US$333.8m) by 2030. That would mean 19 per cent growth from the KRW422.9bn (US$287.7m) in casino sales recorded in 2025.
In a filing to the Korea Exchange on Thursday, March 26, GKL said its “Value-up Plan” included the aim of diversifying its customer base by broadening its footprint in overseas markets such as Taiwan, Thailand and Mongolia. It also plans to strengthen digital marketing efforts targeting foreign mass-market customers to drive higher engagement and conversion levels. It will also prioritise the use of Korean cultural content to enhance its brand positioning.
GKL operates three Seven Luck casinos in South Korea, with two in Seoul and one in Busan. The company aims to attain an ESG rating of A+ under Korea’s ESG rating system and keep its total shareholder payout ratio above 40 per cent.
