CEO Walt Power says the casino will apply best practices from Singapore and Macau
Vietnam.- The Grand Ho Tram has pledged that responsible gaming will be a core pillar of its operations after it gained permission to start accepting Vietnamese gamblers. CEO Walt Power said the casino would introduce a responsible gaming framework modelled after best practices from Singapore and Macau.
This will include on-site information centres, staff training to identify at-risk behaviours, voluntary self-exclusion options and community education initiatives. “Responsible gaming is central to our operations,” Power said.
The venue will be allowed to admit locals under a five-year pilot programme. The move is expected to draw significant visitation from nearby Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Tram currently operates 90 tables and 400 machines, with the capacity to expand. Analysts expect the resort to reinvest early gains to accelerate development.
Meanwhile, Corona Resort & Casino on Phu Quoc island has been granted permanent permission to accept locals, and Van Don has been added to the pilot ahead of its projected 2032 opening.
