Hong Kong Jockey Club appoints sports business executive director

Casper Stylsvig will also join the Board of Management.

Hong Kong.- The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has announced the appointment of Casper Stylsvig as sports business executive director (EDSB) with effect from January 15, 2026. The newly-appointed executive will be a member of the Board of Management and report directly to the club’s chief executive officer.

As EDSB, the appointee will oversee HKJC’s sports business portfolio across horse racing, football, lottery, and emerging opportunities aiming to grow both wagering and non-wagering income streams. 

Responsibilities include driving the commercialisation of HKJC’s current assets as well as creating new income streams, especially from sponsorships and partnerships, strategic marketing to attract and retain different customer segments, leading the multi-billion-dollar Racecourse Master Plan, and spearheading new ventures, including global growth opportunities. 

“Stylsvig will also manage the sports wagering portfolio to channel wagering demand for community benefit and play a key role in developing Hong Kong racing as a global sports brand and in transforming the club’s sports business,” the club said in a press release.

Stylsvig holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Esade Business School Barcelona and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire. Most recently, he was the chief revenue officer at Chelsea FC, where he restructured the club’s commercial operations, launched a comprehensive five-year strategic plan, and delivered revenue growth. 

Previous roles include posts in senior leadership at FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Fulham FC and AC Milan.
