The International Esports Federation is proud to announce the expansion of its Athletes Committee with the addition of new members following a successful Open Call held earlier this summer.
The Athletes Committee plays a vital role in representing the voices of esports athletes worldwide. To ensure diverse perspectives across titles, regions, and communities, the Committee periodically opens its doors to new members when additional expertise and representation are needed.
The Open Call Process
The most recent call for applications was open from June 15 to July 15, 2025. During this period, nearly 70 athletes from around the world registered their interest to join the Committee.
After a multi-phase selection process, which included careful review, discussions, and evaluations by the current Committee members, two outstanding athletes were chosen to strengthen the team.
Meet the New Members
We are delighted to welcome the following athletes to the IESF Athletes Committee:
- Purity Muiruri (Kenya)
Representing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Dota 2 - Heitor Valente (Brazil)
Representing eFootball
These athletes bring not only their competitive experience but also their commitment to growing esports globally and ensuring that athletes’ perspectives remain central to IESF’s work.
Strengthening Athlete Representation
The addition of new members highlights the Committee’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and representation across esports. By broadening the diversity of voices within the Committee, IESF continues to build a stronger foundation for supporting athletes and shaping the future of competitive gaming.
