India.- The government of India has told local media that it’s recently blocked around 300 websites and applications linked to gambling, taking the total to 8,400. The report follows implementation of the Online Gaming Act.
Some 4,900 sites have been blocked since the passage of the new legislation, the government told NDTV Profit. Officials said blocks target sports betting sites, online casinos offering games such as slots and roulette, peer-to-peer betting exchanges and satta and matka networks.
