The Enforcement Directorate alleges that the Probo app facilitates online gambling.
India.- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) says it has seized assets worth ₹117.41 crore (US$12.9m) belonging to Probo Media Technologies Private Limited and its directors amid allegations of online gambling. It says the Probo app facilitates online gambling.
The ED said it launched an investigation after receiving multiple complaints in Gurugram, Palwal, and Agra. Complainants claimed they were misled into a scheme promising easy earnings through “yes or no” questions that allegedly concealed a gambling operation disguised as skill-based gaming.
The ED said the company generated “proceeds of crime” worth approximately ₹1,245.64 crore (US$137.59m). The company stopped operating in August 2025, following the introduction of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025.
In July, the ED had raided the company’s premises and those of its promoters, freezing investments worth ₹284.5 crore (US$31.43m) in fixed deposits and shares. The latest confiscated assets include fixed deposits, shares, demand drafts and bank balances belonging to the company, and apartments owned by the directors’ relatives.
