South Korea.- Kangwon Land Inc, operator of the only casino serving South Korean customers, has reported fourth-quarter sales of KRW365.45bn (US$256.0m), up 6 per cent from a year earlier. In a filing to the Korea Exchange on Wednesday, the operator noted that gaming revenue made up most of its Q4 2025 sales at KRW325.6bn (US$228.0m).
Gross gaming revenue (GGR) from mass tables reached KRW161.0bn (US$112.7m), an 8.6 per cent year-on-year increase. GGR from the Membership Club, the casino’s elite player segment, totalled KRW58.0bn (US$40.6m), up 7.2 per cent compared with the same quarter in 2024.
Slot machine GGR for the three months to December 31 rose 5.6 per cent year-on-year to KRW138.3bn (US$96.9m). Fourth-quarter operating income stood at just under KRW29.70bn (US$20.8m), down 30.5 per cent year-on-year. Net income attributable to the parent company’s shareholders fell 41.2 per cent year-on-year to nearly KRW66.02bn (US$46.3m), and the net-profit margin declined by 11.3 points to 18.1 per cent.

In an earlier filing, Kangwon Land reported that total sales for 2025 reached almost KRW1.48tn (US$1.03bn), a 3.5 per cent increase from a year earlier. The company plans to invest KRW126.4bn (US$88.0m) in 2026 for casino VIP floor renovations, construction of a second casino, resort room upgrades, and replacement of gaming equipment.
