South Korea.- KH Group, the parent company of casino operator Blue One Ltd, has announced the reopening of the gaming venue at Jeju Sun Hotel on South Korea’s Jeju Island under the new brand Blue One Casino.
The company became the owner of the property earlier this month after Blue One acquired controlling shares in newly created Heaven Co following its corporate demerger from Bloomberry Resorts Corporation. The transaction finalised Bloomberry’s departure from the Jeju Island casino market and the transfer of the gaming licence to the new ownership structure.
KH Group said operations have improved at Blue One Casino and that it has fully merged the business into its structure under a unified management system. The company said staff employment transfers have been completed, with priority given to maintaining job continuity.
KH Group said that the venue will will focus on table games and strengthen its positioning in the premium gaming segment as it aims to return it to profitability. For 2025, Blue One Casino recorded gross gaming revenue of PHP17.3m (US$286,676), marking a 60.7 per cent drop from 2024, and a net loss of nearly PHP251.4m (US$4.2m).
The company said shifting travel trends are expected to support its strategy, noting that tourism demand is moving away from shopping-driven trips towards experience- and entertainment-focused visits. As part of this approach, the property aims to encourage visitors to extend their stays and increase per-capita spending through integrated gaming and hospitality offerings.
