Macau.- The Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has today (May 6) announced the reappointment of Ng Wai Han as its director. According to an executive order published in the Official Gazette, she will serve in the position for another year.
The Office of the Secretary for Economy and Finance confirmed the appointment, citing Ng’s “civic integrity, experience, and professional competence required for the exercise of her duties.”
Ng assumed the role of DICJ director for a one-year term on May 7, 2025, replacing Adriano Marques Ho, who had been appointed in late 2024. She previously worked as director of the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP). Before that, she was deputy director at the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL).
The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has recently reported that Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was MOP19.9bn (US$2.4bn) in April, up 5.5 per cent in year-on-year terms but 12 per cent lower than March (MOP22.6bn). Cumulatively, Macau’s GGR for the four months of 2026 was MOP85.78bn (US$10.63bn), up 12.1 per cent year-on-year but 14 per cent below pre-pandemic levels (US$12.4bn).
