Gross gaming revenue reached US$2.4bn.

Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has reported that Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was MOP19.9bn (US$2.4bn) in April. That’s an increase of 5.5 per cent in year-on-year terms but 12 per cent lower than March (MOP22.6bn).

Cumulatively, Macau’s GGR for the four months of 2026 was MOP85.78bn (US$10.63bn), up 12.1 per cent year-on-year but 14 per cent below pre-pandemic levels (US$12.4bn).

Analysts at Seaport Research Partners expect casino margins in Macau to remain under pressure through the remainder of 2026. They say high levels of reinvestment and commission structures continue to weigh on profitability: operating expense growth is expected to slow to around 6 to 7 per cent, but Analysts see this as unlikely to result in meaningful margin recovery in the near to medium term.
