Macau.- A daily average of just over 110,000 visitor arrivals has been reported in Macau from Easter Friday to Easter Sunday (March 29 to March 31 inclusive). That’s according to data from Macau’s Public Security Police.
Macau’s aggregate visitor arrivals from March 29 to March 31 were 330,447. Saturday saw the biggest single-day tally across the three days, at 122,235. Tourism authorities had estimated that Macau would receive an average of 100,000 visitors per day during the Easter holidays.
In 2023, 481,765 visitors arrived in Macau during the Easter season, which included the Chinese festival of Ching Ming. According to data from the city’s Public Security Police, the daily average for the six-day period was just over 80,000 visitors.
This year, the Easter break in Hong Kong runs from March 29 to today (April 1). Following Easter comes Ching Ming, a public holiday in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Macau, from April 4 to April 6 in China and April 4 alone in Hong Kong.
