The New South Wales regulator will engage with industry stakeholders as the state-wide outreach program enters its fourth year.
Australia.- The New South Wales Government’s Hospitality and Racing Regulatory Roadshow 2026 will start in Moree on March 31. The first free event, led by Liquor & Gaming NSW and the Office of Responsible Gambling, will be held at the Moree Social Co House.
The event will be open to venue operators, licensees, Aboriginal representatives and community leaders from across the Moree Plains and surrounding regions. Previous editions were held in locations including Bega Valley, Broken Hill, Albury, Central Coast and Ballina.
Tarek Barakat, Hospitality and Racing deputy secretary, said of the roadshow: “It will provide an opportunity to those attending to hear directly from our executives, ask questions, stay up to date with regulatory priorities and connect with peers from across the sector,” he said.
Barakat added that the sessions also allow authorities to better understand regional challenges and opportunities, while gathering feedback to inform future policy and regulatory approaches.
The Moree event will cover a range of topics, including upcoming reforms, licensing requirements, local hospitality and gambling trends and harm minimisation strategies. Information stalls will offer direct access to teams from Hospitality Concierge, Licensing and Liquor Accords alongside representatives from GambleAware service providers.
Following the Moree stop, the 2026 roadshow series is set to visit Griffith, Canterbury-Bankstown, Deniliquin and Queanbeyan.
