The Philippines.- Newport World Resorts, operated by Travellers International Hotel Group, plans to expand its online gaming operations through multiple platforms. Travellers International and Newport World Resorts President and CEO Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez has said that the company is developing a new platform for the mass market separate to its existing Newport World Casino Online.
E-gaming has grown significantly in the Philippines. In 2024, it represented 41.5 per cent of gross gaming revenue. In the first half of 2025, e-games accounted for over 53 per cent of industry performance.
Rodriguez described online gaming as an additional channel that expands options without replacing the integrated resort experience. Travellers continues land-based expansions in Entertainment City, Cebu, and Boracay. At its flagship Newport World Resorts, the Narra Palm Resort & Villas will open in phases by year-end, featuring 157 hotel suites and villas, plus private gaming suites for VIP guests.
