The Philippines.- Shirley Tam was appointed as executive vice president of casino marketing at Okada Manila in September. Tam served as senior vice president of Premium Marketing at Okada Manila from October 2018 to August 2021 and more recently as chief casino marketing officer at Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea.
She began her career at the Caesar’s Windsor casino in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Macau in 2006 to work at The Venetian Macao. She has also served in senior marketing positions at Galaxy Entertainment Group, Wynn Macau and Genting Hong Kong.
Last week, Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment (TRLEI), the operator of Okada Manila, shared financial results for Q3, 2025. Gross gaming revenue (GGR) was down 15 per cent in year-on-year terms to PHP6.98bn (US$119.9m). In quarter-on-quarter terms, GGR was down by 1.8 per cent.
TRLEI recently announced a change in leadership for the casino with president and chief operating officer Byron Yip stepping after seven years. Nobuki Sato, previously senior executive officer and chief financial officer of Universal Entertainment Corporation (UEC), assumed the role on September 15.
