The agency has supplied seven new vehicles.
The Philippine.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has donated seven new emergency vehicles to local government units. The latest beneficiaries are Las Piñas City and the municipalities of Tacloban (Leyte), Busuanga (Palawan), San Manuel (Tarlac), Mexico (Pampanga), Kibawe (Bukidnon), and Indang (Cavite).
PAGCOR said the emergency vehicles are equipped with a GPS navigation system, ambulance stretcher, medical oxygen, wheelchair and first aid kit.
PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, who led the ceremonial turnover at the agency’s corporate office in Pasay, said: “This is more than just a turnover of vehicles; it is about saving more lives. We hope to empower our LGUs to respond faster and more efficiently during medical emergencies.”
PAGCOR recently donated five vehicles to military units and a local government unit. The recipients were the Municipality of Liliw in Laguna; the Army’s 7th Infantry Division, Light Reaction Regiment and Fort Magsaysay Army Station Hospital, all based in Nueva Ecija; and the Headquarters Force Reconnaissance Group of the Philippine Marines in Ternate, Cavite.
