The Philippine gaming regulator has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
Philippines.- The Philippine gaming regulator, PAGCOR, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) for the creation of a database of government employees banned from casinos and gaming establishments.
Alejandro Tengco, PAGCOR’s chairman and CEO, said: “This MOU with the NPC is a vital step in aligning PAGCOR’s policies and processes with the evolving data privacy landscape. It reinforces our duty to protect personal information while ensuring that our operations remain transparent, compliant, and trustworthy.”
John Henry Naga, NPC privacy commissioner and chairman, said: “The formalization of this collaboration between NPC and PAGCOR underscores the importance of securing our citizens’ personal data, which is not just a regulatory requirement but a hallmark of excellence in the gaming industry.”
