A magistrate has granted limited YouTube access but barred case discussion.
Pakistan.- A Lahore district court has ordered the restoration of frozen bank accounts belonging to Saadur Rehman, aka Ducky Bhai. The YouTuber is involved in a high-profile case over the alleged promotion of illegal gambling apps on social media.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo issued the ruling during a hearing attended by Rehman, his wife Aroob Jatoi, and their legal team. The court also granted limited permission for Rehman to resume uploading YouTube videos, provided he avoids discussing the case. The magistrate noted NCCIA objections to 27 videos on Rehman’s channel but directed that they remain online as potential evidence. A technical witness testified, but the prosecutor’s absence led to an adjournment until March 11.
Rehman, who has over 10 million subscribers on YouTube, was arrested in August 2025 at Lahore Airport and spent nearly three months in custody before securing bail from the Lahore High Court in November. He faces charges under Pakistan’s Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act for allegedly endorsing unlicensed betting platforms like Dafabet and 22Bet for financial gain.
