A Lahore court has granted the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency four more days to probe allegations.
Pakistan.- A Lahore court has extended the remand of YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, for another four days to continue investigating his alleged involvement in the promotion of illegal online gambling apps.
Rehman, a prominent online influencer, was arrested at Allama Iqbal International Airport earlier this month after being placed on the Provisional National Identification List. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) accuses him of using his YouTube channel to advertise multiple platforms.
Government lawyers argued that more time was needed to pursue leads and identify additional people linked to the case. The defence opposed the request, but Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo approved the extension. The next hearing is scheduled for September 1, when the NCCIA is expected to present further findings.
The case is registered under multiple sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and the Pakistan Penal Code, with charges including electronic fraud, forgery, spoofing and unlawful prize-based trade offers. According to prosecutors, evidence suggests Rehman acted in a managerial role for at least one of the platforms.
