South Korea.- Paradise Co has approved a governance overhaul under a co-CEO leadership structure following shareholder approval at its annual general meeting. Choi Jong-hwan, who has been CEO since March 2024, will be joined by former COO Lim Jun-shin. The company said the move is intended to improve operational efficiency and reinforce strategic decision-making through shared leadership responsibilities.
Paradise Co operates four casinos: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City, near the main international airport serving Seoul.
A planned new hotel in Seoul has a target opening for 2028. The 18-floor hotel will have approximately 200 suites and five basement levels offering services for foreign VIPs as part of a strategy to attract more international high-rollers. The cost of the development is estimated between KRW500bn (US$360m) and KRW550bn (US$400m).
