Philippine president praises PAGCOR for dividend contribution
PAGCOR is the fifth-largest dividend contributor among Philippine state-owned corporations.
The Philippines.- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has formally recognised the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) for its dividend remittance to the national government. PAGCOR ranks fifth among the country’s 50 government-owned and controlled corporations after contributing PHP5.67bn (US$92.1m) from its 2025 profits.
Marcos presented a certificate of recognition to PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, and said that dividend payments from state-owned enterprises strengthen the government’s ability to fund public services and development programmes. All public corporations must remit at least 50 per cent of net earnings under Republic Act No. 7656.

Tengco said the recognition reflects PAGCOR’s continued commitment to fiscal discipline and national development, adding that the agency would seek to further increase revenues while maintaining support for government initiatives.
