SA Gaming: “Our key competitive advantage is being able to deliver bespoke solutions”

A spokesperson for SA Gaming discusses the company’s expansion into Latin America and Africa following new licensing approvals and the showcase of its portfolio at ICE Barcelona.

Exclusive interview.- As ICE Barcelona once again brings together the global gaming ecosystem, SA Gaming is using the event to reinforce its position as a flexible, client-driven live casino supplier. In this exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, a company’s spokesperson shares how SA Gaming is leveraging new product launches, bespoke solutions, and recent licensing approvals in South Africa and Peru to accelerate its expansion across Latin America, Africa, and Europe, while continuing to raise the bar in localisation and live game innovation.

What specific strategic objectives has the company established for this year’s edition of ICE Barcelona?

As the largest exhibition in the industry, we aim to meet more new clients from different parts of the world as they gather in Barcelona. By engaging in meaningful conversations with operators, we understand their evolving needs so we can show them how our solutions can drive substantial growth and engage players.

This is also a great opportunity to showcase our latest innovations. It has been a marvellous year as we launched our flagship live game show Carnival Treasure, and a handful of other popular titles. By meeting clients at ICE, we hope operators can understand our dedication in setting new benchmarks in game design and studio operation.

What new game titles or features will be showcased at the event?

We will be showcasing our full portfolio of live casino games, including the latest live game show Carnival Treasure – a money-wheel-style Live Game with a maximum of payout of 10,000x. Also, our flagship title, Baccarat, has added various new side bet options, bringing greater fun to players. Our Blackjack has upgraded to a deluxe version, where pre-decisions have been made available. There have been more games launched this year, and they will be all there meeting everyone in Barcelona.

SA Gaming has recently secured critical licensing approvals from South Africa’s Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) and Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Commerce (MINCETUR), including both a Supplier Licence and Remote Gaming Server authorisation. How does this development fit into your broader LatAm expansion strategy?

These prestigious licenses serve as an entry to South Africa and Peru, and thus Africa and Latin America as a whole. Licenses are the fastest way to establish trust with local partners as they show our reliability in both games and infrastructure. As we achieve full compliance in these two jurisdictions, we aim to establish long-term relationship with the operators in these target markets. The licenses will act as blueprints for us to enter other markets in Africa and Latin America as we further pursue compliance in other jurisdictions.

With SA Gaming’s recent diversification into Latin America and Europe, how are you balancing the challenge of localisation across distinct cultural and regulatory contexts, particularly regarding game themes, payment methods, and responsible gaming messaging?

Localisation is more like our core competency instead of a challenge. We create a superior player experience that is tailor-made for users in different markets. Our product teams have been creating culturally specific game variants to cater for local needs.

We also constantly add new languages and integrate new currencies so operators and players can seamlessly overcome these barriers. By building a fully native gaming environment, we build player trust and strengthen engagement.

The live casino sector remains increasingly competitive, with major consolidated players investing heavily in studio expansion and production quality. What specific competitive advantages does SA Gaming emphasise when engaging with operators seeking live dealer solutions?

Our key competitive advantage is being able to deliver bespoke solutions. We position ourselves as a customer-centric supplier and a friendly partner who are always ready to cater for our clients and partners. With custom tools like leaderboards, as well as tailored marketing campaigns upon request, we offer flexibility that allows our partners to diversify their offering and implement strategies that drive the most growth and player loyalty. This is further complemented by our deep localisation expertise. We provide region-specific game variants which our target audience feel native. The combination of customisation and localisation empowers our partners to launch competitive offerings that promote growth between both of us.

Looking beyond ICE, how does SA Gaming envision its competitive position within the live casino space? What strategic priorities will guide the company’s growth over the year?

After establishing relations during ICE, we will deepen relationships with our partners, both old and new. With our bespoke solutions, we hope to enjoy closer collaboration that results in mutual growth. After collecting all the market trends of client needs, we will communicate these findings to our product team so they can accelerate product development for more engaging live casino content. We will also continue our compliance work into more jurisdictions, followed by business negotiations. We believe these priorities will support our growth in the year ahead.
