Macau.- Sands China has announced an expansion of its parental leave benefits, increasing paid maternity leave to 90 days and paternity leave to seven days. The new policy will take effect on March 1, 2026.
Eligible female employees will receive an additional 20 days of paid maternity leave, up from the previous 70 days, while male employees will see their paid paternity leave extended from five days to seven days. The company said the initiative is designed to help employees balance their professional responsibilities with family life, while contributing to overall staff wellbeing and long-term job satisfaction.
Earlier this month, the company announced that it has retained its Top Employer certification from the Top Employer Institute. It’s the second consecutive year the company has received the international accreditation.
As Macau’s largest private employer, Sands China has nearly 28,000 team members. By the end of last year, nearly half of its workforce, more than 14,000 employees, had served the company for at least 10 years.
