South Korea.- Paradise Co has shared its financial results for August. The operator has reported casino sales of KRW80.45bn (US$57.7m). That’s a rise of 11.7 per cent year-on-year and 7 per cent from July’s figure.
Table-game sales were KRW76.01bn (US$59.4m), up 12.9 per cent year-on-year. Machine game sales were KRW4.45 (US$3.2m), down 5.8 per cent year-on-year but up 3.9 per cent compared to July.
For the first eight months of the year, cumulative casino revenue reached KRW610.74bn (US$477m), a 10.2 per cent increase compared to January-August 2024. The growth was driven by table games, which generated KRW576bn (US$450m), up 11 per cent year-on-year, while the machine gaming segment declined by 1.1 per cent to KRW34.74bn (US$27.1m).

Paradise Co operates four casinos: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City, near the main international airport serving Seoul. It plans to begin construction on a new hotel in Seoul with a target opening date in 2028.
The 18-floor hotel will have approximately 200 suites and five basement levels offering services for foreign VIPs as part of a strategy to attract more international high-rollers. The cost of the development is estimated between KRW500 (US$360m) and KRW550 (US$400m).
