Australia.- The Star Entertainment Group has announced the appointment of Don Pasquariello as a non-executive director of the company. It said Pasquariello has over 40 years’ experience in audit, assurance and professional services, including at Deloitte and KPMG.
Pasquariello is currently the chair of the Oliver Hume Property Group of Companies and an Advisory Board director of Villawood Properties Group. He is also a director of St Vincents Institute of Medical Research Limited and a director of Jesuit Education Australasia Limited. He will be an observer to The Star Board pending receipt of regulatory and ministerial approvals.
“Pasquariello’s expertise spans audit, business strategy and processes, corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance,” the company said.
Pasquariello commented: “I am excited to be joining The Star at this critical time as the company completes its remediation and cultural reset and look forward to working closely with the Board and leadership team to position the business for sustainable long-term growth.”

Last month, The Star Entertainment Group announced the appointment of Bruce Mathieson Jr as a non-executive director of the company. Meanwhile, Michael Issenberg, who has been an independent non-executive director since July 11, 2022, announced his retirement from the board at the end of the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The company reported first-quarter revenue of AU$284m (US$184m), a 5 per cent increase compared to the previous quarter. Despite subdued trading levels in Sydney, the company reduced its EBITDA loss to AU$13m (US$ 8.5m), an improvement from AU$27m (US$17.6m) in Q4.
