TAB New Zealand launches new self-service terminals

The new terminals will be available in more than 450 TABs, pubs and clubs in New Zealand.

New Zealand.- Entain has announced that new self-service terminals with updated technology will be installed in over 450 TAB venues, pubs and clubs in New Zealand in the coming months. The rollout will reach 45 TAB retail stores, 416 pubs and clubs that provide TAB services and all 51 racecourses in the country.

The company says the terminals were developed following feedback from customers. They are designed to look and work like the TAB App and website for a consistent experience across platforms. Updates include new marketing screens with improved odds and form display software.

Sam Moncur, managing director of Entain New Zealand, said: “Our retail customers know the fun of celebrating a win with their friends, whether that’s in a TAB retail store or a pub or club with TAB facilities. We want to meet our customers where they are and provide them with a seamless experience if they’re placing a bet through our new terminals or on the TAB App.”

Moncur added: “Customers can enjoy more bet types, easy multis with a buildable betslip and more funding options. Plus, the new touch-screen experience is faster than ever. Everything a TAB customer could do through the app or tab.co.nz is now possible in retail.

“This is in keeping with changing customer preferences with new technology, and with the changes we’ve seen across the broader retail industry. We will be supporting our venues and customers through this change with both physical and digital resources on hand to help them.

“We’re committed to delivering a world-class wagering experience and this is a big step toward ensuring our venues are well-positioned to serve the needs of our customers now and into the future. There is a lot more to come in 2025 including exclusive promotions and offers for our customers that can only be redeemed through our TAB venues.”
