Officers had monitored the site for roughly a month in response to complaints from residents. They say it housed five gambling rooms, including VIP facilities and a large central hall. Police seized 17 bank passbooks.
Phumtham said daily turnover was THB5m to THB10m. The VIP room alone had THB3m to THB4m turnover each hour, he said. Investigators have identified the owner and tenant of the premises and police are checking whether they are related.
