Thailand.- A former police officer has accused four executives of the Bhumjaithai Party of accepting bribes from nine casinos in Cambodia.
A former special branch bureau officer, Santana Prayoonrat attended the Bhumjaithai Party’s office to submit 50 pages of evidence, according to The Thaiger. He told media that four executives were involved in gambling businesses, some directly and others indirectly.
He did not reveal names but gave descriptions but said one of the accused is a key figure in the party. He described another. He alleged that others held ministerial positions and maintained close ties with gambling bosses in Poipet.
Channel 8 reported that Santana requested a meeting with prime minister Anutin Charnvirakul but received no response.
