Police have linked the operation linked to 777-branded betting sites.
Thailand.- Police have arrested 25 Indian nationals in a raid on a luxury villa in Pattaya that was allegedly used as a base for illegal online gambling operations. Immigration Division 3 targeted a property in the Nong Prue area after a tip-off.
Officers said the villa had been heavily modified to conceal operations, with the garage converted into a sealed office space and visibility from outside restricted. Investigators found backup power systems and food supplies. They claim the 25 suspects were found working in roles including marketing, accounting and customer service.
Officers said seized computers and devices linked the group to at least three major online gambling platforms under 777-branded domains. The sites were said to handle daily transactions of around INR5.6m (US$60,000), with the network alleged to have generated more than THB700m (US$20m) in annual turnover.
Police confiscated more than 80 items, including laptops, desktop computers and mobile phones, as part of the investigation. All suspects were found to have entered Thailand on tourist visas and were allegedly working without permits. Inquiries are ongoing.
