Turkey.- The Turkish Football Federation’s disciplinary committee has imposed suspensions on 102 more players in its top two divisions for alleged involvement in match-fixing and betting. The affected players include Galatasaray player Metehan Baltacı, who was handed a nine-month suspension, and teammate Eren Elmalı, who was suspended for 45 days.
Trabzonspor players Boran Başkan and Salih Malkoçoğlu were also named, with the former receiving a three-month suspension and the latter a 45-day ban. The longest suspensions of 12 months were issued to Konyaspor’s Alassane Ndao, Ali Şaşal Vural of Sivasspor, Amedspor’s Oktay Aydın and Orkun Özdemir of Boluspor.

It had already suspended 1,024 players and 149 referees and assistant referees.
