The operator’s licence has been cancelled following a raid last month.
Cambodia.- The Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (CGMC) has cancelled the operating licence of Casino Zhong Huawei Golden Sand International Entertainment in Sihanoukville. The move follows a major enforcement action over alleged online scam activities at the operator’s premises.
A raid on April 8 involved the Sihanoukville provincial unified command, the National Police General Commissariat, and prosecutors from the Sihanoukville Court of First Instance as part of Cambodia’s crackdown on suspected cybercrime. Officers detained 104 foreign nationals and seized 1,595 mobile phones, dozens of computers and monitors, central processing units, routers and several vehicles.
The CGMC said materials seized pointed to a structured online scam operation rather than regular casino activity. As a result, the regulator revoked Casino Licence No. 053 CGMG, a decision formalised on April 30, 2026. It indicated that inspections and enforcement action will continue at casino sites suspected of being linked to illicit cyber activities.
