India.- Mumbai’s East Division Cyber Police have arrested two businessmen from Bhayandar for alleged involvement in an online gaming scam. The suspects, Pritesh Salian, aged 48, and Mehul Kantilal Solanki, 47, both residents of Bhayandar East, were reportedly involved with a platform called “Honesty is Best Policy – Atlas777.club,” which allegedly made false promises of huge returns on betting on cricket, football, tennis and hockey.
A victim who used the website from October 6 to 19, 2025 complained that operators gained their trust by crediting small winning amounts to his account. However, after he invested Rs 28.2 lakh (US$31,795) in multiple transactions, they allegedly withheld the money and refused to return it.
The bank account used by the scammers was identified as a Bank of India (BOI) account under the name Sai Avatar Enterprises. The police stated that the bank account in question had transacted Rs 2.5 crore (US$281,872) in deposits since June 2025.
