Q1 performance saw a notable shift from the company’s full-year 2025 results.
The Philippines.- The gaming technology supplier PhilWeb Corporation returned to profitability in the first quarter of 2026 despite a decline in sales. In its filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the company reported revenue of PHP233.06m (US$3.9m), up from PHP178.79m (US$3m) a year earlier. Sales were PHP76.93m (US$1.3m), down from PHP89.31m (US$1.5m).
PhilWeb generated EBITDA of PHP23.5m (US$0.4m), compared to negative EBITDA of PHP3m (US$0.05m) in Q1 2025. Net income came in at PHP13.9m (US$0.2m) compared to a net loss of PHP25.5m (US$0.4m) recorded a year earlier.
Despite the return to profit, the company reported rising costs linked to its expansion strategy. Costs and expenses increased by PHP15.1m (US$0.3m), or 7.6 per cent, to PHP214.6m (US$3.6m), which the firm said was “primarily as a result of the company’s strategic business expansion.”
For the year ended December 31, 2025, PhilWeb reported revenue of PHP659.42m (US$11.0m), down from PHP774.64m (US$12.9m) in 2024, while sales fell to PHP353.47m (US$5.9m) from PHP385.44m (US$6.4m). The company posted a net loss of PHP211.17m (US$3.5m), narrower than the PHP599.23m (US$10.0m) loss recorded a year earlier.
