Taiwan.- The Taiwan Lottery has announced a combined NT$800m (US$25.43m) increase in prize payouts across several lottery games ahead of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday weekend, which begins on June 19. The move is aimed at boosting ticket sales during the festive period.
From June 5, Lotto 6/49, where players select six numbers from a pool of 49, will offer 100 additional draws on top of its regular schedule. Players who match all six numbers will win NT$1m (US$31,750). Prizes will be shared if more than one ticket holder wins, and any unclaimed prizes will roll over into future special draws until all 100 prizes are awarded or the campaign ends on July 17.
The company also confirmed adjustments to its BINGO BINGO game, where results are drawn every five minutes. From June 5 to July 5, the super number prize will rise from NT$1,200 (US$38) to NT$1,500 (US$47.60). Smaller wins on big/small or odd/even bets will increase from NT$150 (US$4.76) to NT$175 (US$5.56).
From June 22 to July 11, payouts for selecting two correct numbers in the 39 Happy Lottery will increase from NT$1,125 (US$35.70) to NT$1,500 (US$47.60).
