Macau.- Wynn Macau and Galaxy Entertainment Group have followed Sands China in confirming details for pay hikes for eligible staff. The increase would cover 98 per cent of both operators’ workforce.
Wynn Macau announced a 2 to 4.5 per cent salary increase for eligible staff, excluding senior management, employed at its two Macau properties, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. The pay increase will take effect on March 1. The pay hike would cover 98 per cent of its 11,803-strong workforce.
Eligible employees with a monthly salary of MOP16,000 (US$1,992) or below will be awarded a salary increase of MOP500 (US$60), equivalent to 3.1 to 4.5 per cent increase, while those earning a monthly salary above MOP16,000, are to receive an average of a 2 per cent salary hike.
Meanwhile, Galaxy Entertainment Group has also announced a salary increase for eligible team members at Senior Manager grade or below, effective from April 1. The increase is set to benefit around 98 per cent of GEG team members. Employees eligible for the increase must have joined the company before January 1st 2026.
Team members making a monthly base salary (including guaranteed tips) of MOP16,000 (US$1,990) or below will receive a monthly increase of MOP500 ($60), while those receiving over MOP16,000 will receive a 2 per cent salary increase.
Sands China was the first operator to announce it would increase salaries by between 2 and 4 per cent for eligible workers from March 1. The move will benefit “99 per cent of Sands China’s close to 28,000 team members”.
SJM Resorts, Sands China, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Wynn Macau, Melco and MGM China have also confirmed details of the usual new year one-month bonus for staff.
