The Australian regulator says the sites violated the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
Australia.- The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has requested that online service providers (ISPs) block 19 more unlicensed online gambling sites. It says its investigations found them to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
The sites are Bass Bet, BetWhale, CasinOK, Cleobetra, Diva Spin, FatPirate, Free Spinz, Gransino, JackBit, Legiano, Mafia Casino, Magius, Monster Win, NewLucky, Nonbetstop.com, Slotexo, Talismania, Tiki Casino, Vegas Hero.
Since the ACMA made its first blocking request in November 2019, 1,640 illegal gambling and affiliate websites have been blocked. Over 230 illegal services have pulled out of the Australian market since the ACMA started enforcing new illegal online gambling rules in 2017.
Last month, the regulator issued a warning to Betplay operator Winners Bookmaking for failing to close a wagering account in a reasonable timeframe for a customer who registered with the BetStop national self-exclusion register.
