GGR has nearly reached the government’s full-year projection.
Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau has reported that gross gaming revenue (GGR) in Macau increased by 14.4 per cent year-on-year in November, reaching MOP21.09bn (US$2.63bn). The year-on-year increase was driven by continued demand following the Golden Week in the previous month, although GGR was down 12.5 per cent from the post-pandemic record of MOP24.09bn (US$3.01bn) set in October.
The sequential decline is in line with expectations as November is usually the slowest month in the fourth quarter. Investment bank Citigroup had also suggested that hotel rooms being occupied by National Games athletes could impact on November GGR by temporarily reducing the average length of stay and gaming time for visitors.
Macau’s revenue for the first eleven months of 2025 amounts to MOP226.52bn (US$28.32bn), an 8.6 per cent rise from last year. With still one month left in the year, 2025 GGR has nearly reached the government’s full-year projection of MOP228bn (US$28.5bn).
