Travellers International posted higher gaming revenue and improved profitability.
The Philippines.- Travellers International Hotel Group, the company that operates the Newport World Resorts casino complex, has reported improved financial performance in 2025. EBITDA and gaming revenue rose while non-gaming results were softer.
According to parent company Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI), Travellers International generated net revenue of PHP31.9bn (US$550m) in 2025, a 2 per cent increase from PHP31.3bn (US$540m) the previous year. The growth was driven by a 4 per cent rise in net gaming revenue to PHP24.2bn (US$420m), which offset a 4 per cent decline in hotel and other revenue (PHP7.6bn) following a strong comparative period.
EBITDA increased 7 per cent year-on-year to PHP9bn (US$155m), supported by cost management initiatives, while attributable profit rose 21 per cent to PHP1.5bn (US$26m).
The results were reported as part of Alliance Global Group’s full-year financial update, in which the conglomerate posted record net income of PHP30.6bn (US$528m) for 2025, up 10 per cent year-on-year, on consolidated revenues of PHP189.7bn (US$3.27bn).
Kevin L. Tan, chief executive officer of AGI, said: “Once again, the Group delivered another strong financial and operating performance in 2025 despite macroeconomic headwinds. Our profitability was further supported by conscious cost efficiency measures which we intend to continue implementing across the business.”
AGI noted that performance also reflected the deconsolidation of Golden Arches Development Corporation, which is now treated as an associate following the group’s retention of a 49 per cent stake, as well as one-off revaluation gains of PHP3.4bn (US$59m). Excluding one-offs, normalised net income rose 2 per cent to PHP27bn (US$466m), while normalised attributable profit remained steady at PHP17.3bn (US$299m).
