The Philippine group has secured a provisional licence from PAGCOR.
The Philippines.- Belle Corp has confirmed that it is in discussions with three to four foreign casino operators as it works to finalise the operational structure for a US$300m integrated casino resort in Clark Freeport, Pampanga. The confirmation follows the issuance of a provisional licence by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
According to filings to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the development will follow a co-licensing model with the selected operator to manage gaming operations while leasing the land from Belle, which would receive a share of gross gaming revenue as well as rent.
According to Belle, the timeline for its second casino hotel venture after City of Dreams Manila depends on the appointment of an operator, with an opening targeted within two to three years from that point. Once a partner is selected, the company plans to submit a revised development plan.
