The Hong Kong Jockey Club will host a public exhibition and launch special draws.
Hong Kong.- The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has announced a series of initiatives to mark the 50th anniversary of its Mark Six lottery. It will hold a public exhibition with special draws in the coming weeks.
It will host the “Mark Six 50th Anniversary Exhibition” at Tai Kwun from May 1 to May 10. The exhibition will display historical items such as early lottery tickets and feature an interactive mock draw studio, where visitors can engage with elements of the draw process.
In parallel, the operator will stage two special Snowball draws. The first, scheduled for May 2, is expected to offer a first-division prize fund of approximately HK$228m (US$29.1m), the highest jackpot in the lottery’s history. Details of the second draw have not yet been disclosed.
Following the May 2 draw, the fourth-generation drawing machine, used for the past 16 years, will be retired and replaced with a new model. According to the HKJC, the upgrade is intended to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure draw integrity.
The anniversary will also see the release of commemorative merchandise. A website has been launched to present the lottery’s historical milestones and operational background.
