South Korean casino operator Paradise Co sees revenue rise in January

Casino sales were KRW94.3bn (US$65.3m).

South Korea.- Paradise Co has shared its financial results for January. The operator has reported casino sales of KRW94.3bn (US$65.3m), up 31 per cent year-on-year and 26.7 per cent from December. 

Table-game sales were KRW89.2bn (US$61.8m), up 32.9 per cent year-on-year and 29.6 per cent compared to the previous month. Machine game sales were KRW5.09bn (US$3.5m), a 9.4 per cent increase year-on-year, but down 8.8 per cent compared to December.

For the full-year 2025, Paradise Co reported casino sales of KRW900.5bn (US$623.6m), up 9.9 per cent year-on-year. Table-game sales were KRW846.3bn (US$585.7m), up 10.3 per cent, while machine game sales were KRW54.2bn (US$37.5m), a 4.1 per cent increase. The aggregate table drop was KRW7.15 trillion, up 4.1 per cent compared to 2024.

Paradise Co operates four casinos: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City, near the main international airport serving Seoul.

A planned new hotel in Seoul has a target opening for 2028. The 18-floor hotel will have approximately 200 suites and five basement levels offering services for foreign VIPs as part of a strategy to attract more international high-rollers. The cost of the development is estimated between KRW500bn (US$360m) and KRW550bn (US$400m).
